Our third mesoscale discussion tells us exactly what we’ve been talking about all day and night. There is potential for a strong storm or two, but no organized threat for severe weather. Simply put, the ingredients just aren’t there. Even so, a strong band of showers and thunderstorms are making their way across Iowa.
You can see to the left the area highlighted for a wind and hail risk by the Storm Prediction Center. But at this time the threat is low enough there are no plans to issue a watch in response. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will bring you updates if any surface.
